Full Membership is intended for established professionals with a proven track record in applying metacognition and learning science in their work. It recognises significant professional experience and a real contribution to the field, and represents a substantial step in your standing within the Institute.
As a Full Member, you gain the right to use the post-nominal MIALM, marking you as a recognised and experienced professional in advanced learning and metacognition. This grade is right for you if you are:
An established educator, practitioner, researcher or leader with a proven track record
Experienced in applying metacognition and learning science in your work
Holding responsibility for areas such as curriculum or programme development, or the implementation of learning strategies within an institution or programme
Eligibility
Applicants will normally hold a relevant postgraduate degree (such as a Master's or PhD) or an equivalent advanced professional qualification, together with at least three years of professional experience. This will typically include demonstrable responsibility for curriculum or programme development, or the design and implementation of learning strategies within an institution or programme.
